This site constitutes a very brief tribute to Valerie Underwood, as no words written here can truly express what she meant to her family and so many friends over the years. As a result we've restricted oursleves to displaying a few photographs culled from her many photo albums - which we dare say will take us (far too) many years to fully go through and find new homes for!

In summary; she was the first child of James and Ida Auld, then a Sibling to Pauline and David before becoming a much loved wife of John Underwood. Thereafter she was a succesful and loved Mother, Grandma and eventually a Great Grandma, as well as a good friend and neighbour to many along the way.

Although not discovered until later in life, she had a congenital heart condition that was, eventually, to lead to her demise. She was a long term supporter of the British Heart Foundation charity because of this, and we would ask that those who would like to make a donation to BHF in her memory consider doing so through the link on this site. She was not only long lived but will be long remembered. RIP
